 Permanent Council

 

The Permanent Council of the CBCK is comprised of the CBCK President, Vice-president, Secretary and other two member bishops elected by the General Assembly of the CBCK. It holds meeting every two months but if necessary the President can convoke it any time. The Permanent Council is the executive organ of the CBCK and its roles are as follows:
- To prepare the agenda of the General Assembly and distribute it to the members of the CBCK at least one month before the date of the General Assembly and to present it opportunely to the Apostolic Nuncio in Korea;

- To execute the decisions of the General Assembly;

- To represent the CBCK in urgent cases;

- To nominate the members and Executive Secretaries of the Episcopal Commissions, Executive Secretaries of the National Committees and Undersecretaries of the CBCK;

- To encourage cooperation between the National Committees and the National Organizations for the Apostolate;

- To invite persons concerned to the General Assembly;

- To prepare the annual budget of the Episcopal Commissions and the National Committees and Organizations and General Secretariate to be approved at the General Assembly;

- To administrate the funds which are entrusted by the General Assembly or member bishop or collected for the intention of the CBCK and report to the General Assembly the income and expenses.
