Statistics of the Overseas Korean Catholics 2008

According to the Statistics of the Overseas Korean Catholics 2008 (as of December 31, 2008), issued by the Committee for the Pastoral Care of Koreans Living Abroad of the CBCK, there are 156,665 Korean Catholics living abroad, showing 4.4% (6,699) increase over the year 2007. It accounts for 2.22% of all overseas Koreans (7,044,716) as of 2007.
Besides, there are 200 Korean priests and 170 men and women religious, who are actively engaging in the pastoral care for Korean Catholics living abroad.
