Financial Support for the Production of Short Films on Life

The Sub-Committee for the Abolition of Capital Punishment under the CBCK Committee for Justice & Peace provided a financial support for the production of the short films, based on the award-winning scripts of the 'Contest of Short Film Scenarios for Life', on March 2, 2009.
Those films are produced to promote the respect for life and spread the spirit of forgiveness in our society on the basis of Catholic teachings, and to share the spirit of respect for life with many people, with a desire of abolishment of the death penalty by the 18th National Assembly of Korea.
The production funding is co-supported by the Sub-Committee for the Abolition of Capital Punishment, Catholic Times Weekly and the Pro-life Commission of the Archdiocese of Seoul. The films will be screened on October 10, 2009, coinciding with the International Death Penalty Abolition Day.
