Message for the 43rd Military Mission Sunday

 

The Most Rev. Francis Xavier Yu Soo-il, Bishop of Military Ordinariate in Korea, issued his first message for the 43rd Military Mission Sunday on October 3, 2010.

Bishop Yu asked to remember military chaplains and many soldiers at this moment devoting themselves in their youth to defend our country at the army, air force, and navy. He said that it can be the great foundation to establish the kingdom of God with true peace and happiness in this world for the faithful to pray and have concern for the soldiers and the military chaplains and to provide financial support.

He also mentioned in the message that every soldier was trying to build the true peace in his or her responsibility, encouraged by the words of Jesus, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God" (Mt. 5,9).
