The Permanent Council of the CBCK (President: the Most Rev. Peter Kang U-il, Bishop of Cheju), through its meeting held on September 7, 2009 approved the publication of "The Church and the Women", materials for the usage of Catholic women's small group discussion, submitted by the CBCK Subcommittee for Women  of the Committee for the Laity  (President: Most Rev. Andrew Yeon Soo-jung). These material are comprised of six chapters titled 'Sharing experiences', 'With the Word', 'Awaking myself within me', and 'Growing with the Faith', respectively.

The Permanent Council also approved "Guidelines for the Cultural heritage of the Catholic Church in Korea" submitted by the Committee for Culture (President: Most Rev. Peter Lee Ki-heon). These Guidelines were made in accordance with the advice of the Pontifical Council for Culture, which recommended to protect and promote the cultural heritage having an artistic and historical value in the local Church, and to investigate its present state. Agreeably to this advice, the Committee for Culture of the CBCK established a Subcommittee for the Cultural Heritage of the Church with related experts, and has prepared for the Guidelines based on the research on the actual state of the cultural heritage of the Church in Korea and the result of its activities.
