Message for Lent of Cardinal Cheong, Archbishop of Seoul
H.E. Nicholas Cardinal Cheong Jin suk told Korean Catholics in a message for Lent that the most important thing is to follow the spirit of sharing and loving that the late Stephen Cardinal Kim Sou-hwan left on the occasion of the first anniversary of his death. With the message entitled 'Fruits of True Conversion: Loving and Sharing', Cardinal Cheong said the reason that the Archidocese of Seoul officially observed a moment to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of the late Cardinal Kim was that every Catholic would keep it mind how he had shared with and loved others. Cardinal Cheong mentioned a true conversion is to share what one has with those in difficulties. Besides, we need to witness the truth that God is alive in our midst through sharing.
On the occasion of beneficial season, Cardinal Cheong hoped that the Catholics try to make our society filled with love, sharing and forgiveness.
