The 8th Message for the Diocesan Labor Sunday
The Most Rev. Boniface Choi Ki-san, Bishop of Incheon, issued a message for the 8th Diocesan Labor Sunday on April 26, 2009 with the theme "Who are my mother and (my) brothers?" (Mk 3,33).
In his message Bishop Choi urged the faithful to have more concern for the workers laboring under poor and unjust conditions.
Bishop Choi urged, "We have to have concern for the joblessness, non-regular workers, women workers having problem with the issues of discrimination and right to work, and migrant workers living in the de facto legal dead zone".
The Diocese of Incheon instituted the diocesan Labor Sunday in 2002 for the cause of the workers, intending to substantially promote the pastoral care for the workers and the true value of the labor.
