* 2nd Ecumenical and Interreligious Dialogue with the CBCK


 


The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea (CBCK) invited about 20 seminarians of Incheon Catholic University and arranged a time for them to visit Protestant Churches and other religions' temples from June 25 to 26, 2009.


 


'The ecumenical and interreligious dialogue with the CBCK' which is the second time was held to introduce the seminarians as future pastors to the organization and activities of the CBCK and to broaden their understanding of the teachings and spirit of other religions.


 


On June 25, under the theme of 'Ecumenism', the seminarians visited the National Council of Churches in Korea, the Anglican Church of Korea, and the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea. On June 26, they visited the Apostolic Nunciature in Korea and they heard the explanation about the relationship between the Apostolic See and the Church in Korea, and about the mission and role of the Apostolic Nuncio. Then, under the theme of 'Interreligious dialogue', visited Jogyesa, the headquarter of Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, and the Korea Muslim Federation.


 


The CBCK carries out this program for seminarians in Korea in the fourth week of June every year.
