* Message for the Week for the Sanctification of the Family

On the occasion of the Week for the Sanctification of the Family starting from the Feast of Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, on December 26, 2010, the Most Rev. Paul Hwang Cheol-soo, President of the CBCK Committee for Family Pastoral Ministry, issued a message and urged the faithful to reflect on the true meaning of conjugal love which God granted them to fulfill an authentic interpersonal communication.

In the message entitled "Restore conjugal love as sacramental love", Bishop Hwang expressed his concern for the present situation in which many married couples have become, day by day, unfaithful to their marriage promise of entire mutual self-giving. He stressed, "Married couples always have to renew their irrevocable conjugal consent to commit their whole life to unconditional love and consistent fidelity, entrusting themselves to Christ's love."
