The New President of Korean Conference of Religion and Peace,
Most Rev. Hyginus Kim Hee-joong
Most Rev. Hyginus Kim Hee-joong, the President of the CBCK Committee for Promoting Christian Unity & Interreligious Dialogue was elected as the new president of Korean Conference of Religion and Peace(KCRP).
Archbishop Kim said that the society worried about people in the religion circle, witnessing the recent conflicts among different religions. He also said that the peace that the religious people seek can be achieved when they make their way to it hand in hand with mutual respect and understanding, as it does not mean a coerced silence by force and arms. That is why all people in the religion circle should keep putting more effort to respect different doctrines and faiths of one another.
In addition, the new president hoped that not only the religious leaders but also the laity would have more opportunity to meet each other and share in communion.
