The Committee for Family Pastoral Ministry of the CBCK held a working-level workshop for the family pastoral ministry at Seton Spiritual Center in Nonsan from November 24 to 26, 2008. The theme of this workshop was 'The cause and solution of the migration.'

The participants discussed the reality of the migrant families and agreed upon the necessity of the education for the promotion of proper attitude towards the migrants.

Rev. Benedictus Song Yeong-oh, Secretary of the Committee for Family Pastoral Ministry of the CBCK, said, "In the modern society, it is very important to have an attitude regarding the migrants as our brothers and sisters. …… The Church must initiate such an attitude, accepting the migrants as the member of a family with human character."

The Committee decided to hold a regular annual workshop in the future. The next workshop will be held in Jeju from May 18 to 20, 2009.
