* 'The Catholic Lay Apostolate Council of Korea' Was Renamed 'the Council of the Catholic Lay Apostolate Organizations of Korea'

'The Catholic Lay Apostolate Council of Korea' (Chairman: Mr. Fabianus Choi Hong-jun; Assistant Priest: Rev. Pius Min Byong-deok) was renamed 'the Council of the Catholic Lay Apostolate Organizations of Korea', as decided by the 2010 Autumn General Assembly of the CBCK. The representatives of diocesan lay apostolate organizations reached consensus on it at the 44th Ordinary General Meeting of the Council which was held at the Catholic Center in Myeongdong, Seoul on February 19, 2011.

In accordance with its new name, the Council is to revise the statutes and restructure the organization, confirming its proper identity and spurring itself to more effectively support the activities of lay apostolate. Particularly this year, it is concentrating on its renewed efforts to new evangelization by carrying out various projects under the moto of "Living New Evangelization and Proclaiming Jesus".
