The Most Rev. Ignatius Pak Sok-hi, Bishop of Andong, passed away from the myocardial infraction, October 9th, 2000. His Excellency was born in 1941 and ordained as Priest in 1971 and elected as Bishop of Andong in 1990. His Excellency has served as President of the Committee for Justice & Peace of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea since 1996 and President of the Association of Catholic Educational Foundations in Korea since 1998.
